Example of Completed Schemes:
South Ulster Housing Association was formed in 1978 as Portadown Housing Association. It has grown to be one of the most community based Housing Associations in Northern Ireland. At present the Association has over 1000 units. The Association has expanded the boundaries of its operational base to include not only Craigavon and Armagh District Councils but Newry & Mourne, Banbridge and Dungannon District Councils.
The Association was initially formed to purchase and rehabilitate derelict houses; however, the needs of the community have led to diversification into the provision of special needs bungalows, apartments and general family needs.
The Association also works in partnership with other organisations — Praxis and Northern Ireland Association of Mental Health (N.I.A.M.H.)
